Although we only have one tip, it is a very important one, and will make all the difference to the readability of the print-out. It is:
- make sure you select the LANDSCAPE option before printing.
THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS ONLY INTENDED FOR THOSE INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE UNSURE OF HOW TO SELECT THIS OPTION:
You can print pages in one of two orientations: portrait ("top to bottom") and landscape ("left to right"). The default setting on almost all browsers is portrait.
As more than 90 percent of onliners now use a recent version (4, 5, or 6) of Microsoft Internet Explorer, for brevity our instructions for temporarily changing your printing orientation from portrait to landscape will relate only to these browsers.
To change your printing orientation from portrait to landscape follow these steps:
- click on FILE on the menu bar;
- click on PAGE SETUP on the menu that appears;
- click on LANDSCAPE in the orientation area of the dialog box that appears;
- click on OK.
Now, each time you print a webpage, it will appear in landscape format. Please note that closing and then re-starting your browser may reset this option back to portrait mode.
To change your printing orientation from landscape BACK TO portrait follow these steps:
- click on FILE on the menu bar;
- click on PAGE SETUP on the menu that appears;
- click on PORTRAIT in the orientation area of the dialog box that appears;
- click on OK.
Now, each time you print a webpage, it will appear in portrait format. |
