>> Dr David J Watmough Founder, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Scientific Officer
David Watmough has had a distinguished career as a Medical Physicist spanning more than 25 years. Most recently, David was Professor of Physics at the Faculty of Medicine in Kuwait University. During this five year period he was also Chairman of the Department of Radiology, Consultant Physicist to the Ministry of Public Health, and Consultant to the Kuwait Cancer Control Centre. Previously, David Watmough was Senior Lecturer and Head of the Ultrasonics and Infra-red Laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Physics and Bio-Engineering of Aberdeen University, Principal Physicist to Grampian Health Board and, for 10 years, Chief Executive and a founding director of Aurora Instruments Limited. He has published over 100 scientific papers, many related to breast cancer, and numerous patents.
David holds a BSc and PhD in Physics from St Andrews University, carried out Post Doctoral Research in Low-Temperature Physics at Oxford University, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Acoustics. Originally from York-shire in the north of England, David spends much of his spare time honing his photographic skills, and indeed recently graduated from the New York Institute of Photography.

>> John Ligertwood Director, Company Secretary
John Ligertwood brings more than 30 years of management and finance experience to the Highland Innovation Centre. During his career, John has held numerous non-executive directorships in Scottish-based companies. The longest of these, lasting ten years, two of which were spent as Vice Chairman, was with the Highland Health Board. Other notable examples include, Data Detection Dynamics Ltd and Corrosion & Condition Control Ltd, both of which develop specialised software for the Oil and Water industries. As for his involvement with charitable organisations, John was Chairman of ILM Highland, the role of which is to help the long-term unemployed get back to work. Prior to this, he held a number of senior level positions at the Clydesdale Bank Plc.
John is an Associate of the Institute of Banking (Scotland). When at home in the Highlands he manages to find time to "shoot, fish, and play a little golf". John's other passion, traveling, recently took him on safari to Zimbabwe.

>> Dr Jude Watmough Director
Jude Watmough graduated in Medicine from Aberdeen University four years ago and is presently working near Inverness as a GP. One of the most interesting positions Jude has held so far is that of Senior House Officer in a hospital in Darwin, Australia.
Jude also holds a BSc in Chemistry from Edinburgh University and an MSc in Medical Physics from Aberdeen University. Born and educated in Scotland, Jude spends much of his spare time either reading about or organising trips to foreign lands. Recent destinations include Malaysia and New Zealand. |
